Please find below the answers to the frequently asked
questions:
How would I know if
the translation into Russian was correct?
Unless you spoke the language, you would not have a clue
as to the quality of the translation and the cultural
appropriateness of the text. That is, until you handed
the materials over to your language-speaking partners.
Every time you submit a translation, your general
success is at stake. No backtracking and second guessing
is possible – you have to get it right first time. This
is exactly what you get at VMRG Media Centre. Let us be
your strategic partner for translation services, and we
will get your message across.
How do I get a quote?
Normally, the final price of your order would be
determined based on the number of standard pages in the
translated text. One standard page is equal to 1,800
characters with spaces counted by the MS Word
statistics. If you feel uncertain how to correctly
evaluate the volume of your document and the price of
translation, our account manager will do that for you
free of charge. To get a free quote, please send your
file via email or fax (or with your courier). We will
send a detailed quote back to you in the shortest time
possible.
Can native speakers be
engaged to handle translations into languages ?
Yes, they can and they are. In our team of professionals
there are 3000+ linguists from all world recognized
languages. Any language of your choice, all of them have
an excellent command on their own language – a crucial
factor to understanding the meaning of a source document
in the course of translation.
How are your
interpreting services priced?
Quality interpreting is not for those on tight budgets.
It is highly skilled work. As simultaneous interpreters
work in real time there are no second chances.
High-quality services provided by professional
interpreters who bridge communication gaps between you
and your client, enable international interaction at a
conference or help the audience understand the lecturer
are vital in making any event a success. Your foreign
partners regard the interpreter as someone representing
your company and here quality interpretation is, above
all, a matter of prestige and building the right image
for the receiving party. A high-profile company cannot
afford to make a costly mistake through poor
interpretation.
How many days’ notice
should your company be given to arrange for an
interpreter?
Generally, we do not undertake to arrange for
interpreter’s services unless notified well in advance,
at least two days prior to your event. Yet in some cases
we are able to respond to urgent tasks and provide
interpreters for you within as few as four hours after
receiving your request. Please call us to find out
whether we can help!
Can you have
translated documents certified by a notary public?
Yes.
Are there limits on translation volumes?
The minimum order to be placed with our company is for
one standard page, i.e. translation of two lines will
cost you just as much as will a page. By contrast, if
you request translation of a huge document (50 – 100
pages), a discount is granted.
What discounts are
available?
Our prices may be discounted depending on the deadline,
volume of the text and/or subject. For example, you will
get a guaranteed reduction in price by ordering a
translation to be completed within seven business days
as compared to the same done during the day (the
difference will amount to 100%). On a 500-page order you
will get a 20% discount, a still greater number of pages
guaranteeing you a special offer price.
What quality
warranties are available?
The best advertising comes from our customers. The
impeccable reputation of our agency and ever-growing
list of respected customers testify to the high quality
of services we provide. We ensure quality by
hand-selecting highly skilled linguists who are best
suited for a specific project. For example, medical
translations are translated by experts who are also
medical professionals, i.e. medical doctors or nurses.
They have been assessed using our own rigorous battery
of tests and interviews. This approach ensures that
quality is ‘built’ into the translation at the very
first stages of the translation process. If required, we
employ subject matter experts to help the translator
with industry-specific termini. Two thirds of clients
entrust us to tackle their important assignments by
reference of those who have at least once had their text
translated by our agency as well as our long-standing
clients. There is no better reward for us than the
trust, assistance and support of all these people.
Can I have a look at
your translations?
Being bound by non-disclosure agreements we do not
showcase our quality by giving out previously translated
documents. However, we will be pleased to do a free
sample translation, typically 300 characters in length,
on condition that you give us your entire text that
needs translation.
How do I pay for your
services?
With legal entities we sign contracts. In this case the
services are paid for by a money transfer as per an
invoice.
We accept cash / cheques / Online Money Transfer
